Psalm 16:11 links joy and worship together: …”only in [His] presence [through worship], is there fullness of joy.
John 4:23-24 (NLV) “But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”
Most believers know that they have a responsibility to worship, but when asked to define what true worship means or how it’s done, they are unable to offer any answers.

What makes worship so important? Worship is what brings us intimacy with the father; it’s our two-way communication. We come into his presence by loving, adoring and exalting him which results in overwhelming happiness for us. It’s the reason Christ came, the reason he was crucified and the reason he rose again.
Deuteronomy 13:4 says “It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.”
